This last week one of our linked supporters was in the Wickford area and gave out two sleeping bags to different men both living on the streets of Wickford.
The first man was at a food bank and explained that his Mother had died and that he had been forced to vacate the house as it wasn't in his name. This means he now lives on the streets of Wickford with his Dog.
Another chap is living under a bridge but said he is being fed by some very special people. He was so greatful for his sleeping bag as he has been so cold on recent nights.
The homeless problem is evident in small towns just as it is in our major cities despite what official figures may say!!
